A good nick and they ooze out all the goo and DIE. Throw some boards in the aisles for them to hide under during the day, then flip the board and snip away. Disgusting but oh, so satisfying. Also, I used to pay my daughter a penny for each Japanese beetle she picked. Worked great. And I do salt eggplant and wait for the liquid to gather on the surface for 15-20 minutes. Blot it with a paper towel.
